Seminar “Discipline and Method: Theoretic Identity in Visual Studies”

European Humanities University and Higher Education Support Program (HESP OSI) invites to the seminar and workshop series “Discipline and Method: on the Theoretical Identity of Visual Studies” on April 22 – May 2, 2010.

The seminar and workshop series are a part of the Spring Session 2010 of a two-year project "Visual Studies of Immedia: Exploring Postmodern Immediacy of Mass Media", conducted by the Department of Media of European Humanities University and supported by Higher Education Support Program (HESP OSI).

Within the framework of the event seminars, workshops and public lectures of such famous theorists like Lev Manovich (University of California – San Diego), Scott Lash (University of London, Goldsmiths College), Janet Wolff (University of Manchester), James Elkins (School of the Art Institute of Chicago) will be held at Mabre Residence Hotel (Maironio g. 13) and Contemporary Art Centre (Vokiečių g. 2) in Vilnius (Lithuania).
