Students from Kalinowski Scholarship Program Paid Visit to EHU

A group of Belarusian students from the Konstanty Kalinowski Scholarship Program in Poland visited the European Humanities University in Vilnius (Lithuania) on December 8, 2009.

The guests met with the students and teachers of EHU and discussed current situation in Belarus, European integration, living and studying abroad.

The visit was organized by the Warsaw School of Social Sciences and Humanities and co-financed by the Polish Aid Program 2009 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Republic of Poland.

The Konstanty Kalinowski Scholarship Program is the largest program in Europe for young Belarusians who have not been able to study in their country because of their political views.

The key objectives of the Program are to support the students of Belarus and offer them opportunities for education in the best Polish higher education institutions, to demonstrate and develop the European values, and assist them in returning home.

Since 2006 nearly 400 Belarusian students have received scholarships from the Konstanty Kalinowski Program in Poland.
