European Humanities University today announced the departure of Prof. Vladimir Dounaev from the position of First Vice Rector.
Prof. Dr. Anatoli Mikhailov, Rector, said: “In accordance with the adoption of the Strategic Plan by the Governing Board and its recommendation to renew the leadership of the Univerisity, V. Dounaev was offered a generous early retirement package, which included compensation equivalent to one year‘s salary, severance pay, health and medical insurance, pension fund contribution, support for fellowship abroad, career consultation, and special recognition for his part in the founding of the University. He rejected that offer. Instead he will be compensated for more than two years remaining in his employment contract as a First Vice Rector. Despite this unfortunate turn of events, we will always be thankful for his positive contribution to the development of the University.“
The announcement follows separate decisions of the Governing Board, General Assembly of Part-Owners and Rector.
