EHU progress presented to the Swedish Ambassador

On March 8 Ambassador of Sweden to Lithuania H.E. Ms. Maria Christina Lundqvist, accompanied by Second Secretary Mr. Samuel Persson received the leadership of the European Humanities University (EHU) in the Embassy of Sweden in Vilnius.

During the meeting, EHU President Prof. Anatoli Mikhailov and Acting Rector Jørgen Jørgensen expressed sincere gratitude to Ambassador for the continuous and generous support provided by the Swedish Government for the implementation of University’s mission. Acting Rector Jørgensen stressed the importance of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency’s provided expertise and know-how for the enhancement of EHU governance systems and operations.

Ambassador Lundqvist expressed interest in EHU’s undertaken efforts in the area of promotion of liberal arts and sciences by means of the implementation of the brand new Core Curriculum, broadening the network of the University partners and supporters, and regarding the status of EHU’s expected re-location to the premises of the Augustinian monastery in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Vilnius Old Town.
