Czech Ambassador discusses the progress of EHU’s development

On February 14 Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Lithuania H.E. Mr. Bohumil Mazánek received European Humanities University (EHU) leadership and discussed the status of University’s development with EHU President and Acting Rector.

Ambassador Bohumil Mazánek welcomed EHU President Prof. Anatoli Mikhailov and Acting Rector Jørgen Jørgensen in the Embassy of Czech Republic in Vilnius. EHU leadership informed Mr. Mazánek about the current developments in the University in terms of enhancing strategic planning and budgetary processes and talked about the process of the Rector’s search.

President Prof. Mikhailov expressed sincere gratitude to the Czech government for providing the special grant for implementation of the brand new Core Curriculum, which EHU launched for all undergraduate students of the University, with the help of 25 experts from 6 countries, representing a network of liberal arts universities. In addition, University leadership presented to Ambassador the status of preparations for the Donors Conference, scheduled for April 19.

According to Ambassador Mazánek: “We are happy to see successful implementation of the Czech government-funded Core Curriculum at EHU, and to learn about the recent progress of University’s development. Important steps are undertaken at EHU, and its mission remains notably important. We are pleased to be a part of the international community that supports EHU”.
