The scholar-in-residence program advances the university’s international presence, assist in faculty and curriculum development and diversify the educational experiences of its students and faculty. The program is designed to exchange of up to four academics per year active in Public Law, Political studies, Humanities, Management training for a four week period. Scholars conduct mini seminars with EHU researchers, give a public presentation, provide staff development lectures within existing EHU syllabus and share their overall academic experiences.
The Center for German studies provides education and training for building competencies, pooling extracurricular academic activities, hosting lectures and cultural activities, networking with the European partners, and maintaining a collection of the German language and literature at the EHU library. A Working Group on Francophone studies is working similarly in the promoting of studies from the perspective of French-speaking populations in Lithuania and Belarus.
EHU, in cooperation with American Councils for International Education, established the International Education and Career Advising Center. It helps to orient students toward academic and professional development by providing a variety of tools and resources.
