The program explores the history, theory and philosophy of modern arts. The interconnections between cinema, design, and other forms of contemporary arts are given special emphasis. Students explore concepts such as structuralism, psychoanalysis, critical theory, and phenomenology through the use of the latest techniques and technologies (internet art, media art, photography and video) as well as classical techniques of visual arts (painting and drawing). The program promotes the creation, development, and implementation by the students of independent, socially aware projects.
