The program aims to train specialists in the sphere of cultural protection and the application of ideas of cultural heritage, who will go on to work in research and higher education institutions, NGOs, state-run organizations, governmental bodies, museums and national parks. They will need to resolve issues related to the reform of the existing system of protection and interpretation of the cultural heritage in Belarus. Core courses focus on research methodology and the resolution of practical problems. Electives offer two concentrations to meet students’ research interests: protection of the cultural heritage and interpretation of the cultural heritage. The practical research requirement will include an attachment to an organization dealing with the protection of the cultural heritage or research at an institution specializing in the study and interpretation of the cultural heritage of Belarus and Lithuania.
